Armin Heitz – Blue in Green

For many years now, Armin Heitz has enjoyed an outstanding reputation as a guitar virtuoso on the international music scene. Influenced as he was by the greats, like Django Reinhardt, Pat, Heitz, who hails from Karlsruhe, gained his skill on the jazz guitar and went on to give evidence of it at countless concerts and in album productions.
On his new Acoustic Music production, "Blue In Green," band leader Heitz once again demonstrates that he really understands how to brilliantly bring together the musical traditions and techniques of European gypsy swing and American mainstream jazz. Two knowledgeable and skilled musicians give him support in his rousing stylistic combo of gypsy swing, mainstream jazz, musette and Latin standards: rhythm guitarist Janosch Dörr and double bass player Davide Petrocca. And that makes "Blue In Green" a highly entertaining trio album that meets the highest musical and recording standards.
