
Wolfgang Lendle studied with H. J. Volkholz (Trier) and at the "Musikhochschule
Saarbrücken" under Jiri Jirmal. He attended master classes
with A. Company, R. Sainz de la Maza, A. Diaz, J. Tomás and
was one of the last students of the great Andrés Segovia
in Santiago de Compostela.
He won the international Competitions "Maria Canals" (1969
in Barcelona), "Fr. Tàrrega" (1974 in Benicassim)
and the "15. National eleccion for Young Artists".
In the meantime Wolfgang Lendle conzertised in allmost all european
countries as well as in Japan, Canada, Sounth- and Northamerica
and had enthusiastic performances at the guitarfestivals in Esztergom,
Volos, Krakow, Schwetzingen, Bordeaux, Mikulov, Bratislava, Cuernavaca
(Mexiko), Istanbul, Tel Aviv and La Habana.
As a player, pedagogue and composer today he belongs to the most
interesting and searched after guitarist characters of the middle
generation.
Since 1985 Lendle is directing an international guitar class at
the Music Academy Kassel. His recordings on the labels ACOUSTIC
MUSIC, Ars Musici, Opus, and Teldec are highly recommended.
