All good things come in threes – in this case, one could apply this proverb to "Neues aus Kleinodien" (New Gems), the third album released by the band "Der Wahre Jakob".

At home in his adopted home town of Osnabrück-Wüste, he is more than comfortably familiar with the place; it's a welcome inspiration for song-writing. Why "gems" - where do they come from and what sort of songs could they be?

These gems are found in the border area between nullity, individual importance and irony. Since several songs are about humorously trivial things, as usual, whereas others shed light on very personal highlights and tragedies, and still others are full of the driest irony, we find here a colourful mixture of beautiful bagatelles – indeed, little gems.
All this is musically realised by Jakob and his band in acoustic-pop clothing with lots of fun and a great deal of verve, as always. Again, catchy tunes have a field day...
