Seven compositions by Peter Finger
arranged for classical guitar by Martin Hegel
Book + CD, 30 pages, notation only
Among fingerstyle guitarists, Peter Finger is no doubt one of the most outstanding representatives when it comes to the originality and intricacy of his compositions.
This anthology contains seven select pieces that have been arranged for a concert guitar in normal tunings done by Martin Hegel. They are especially enriching for the classic guitar repertoire, whose performers will certainly appreciate being able to play Peter Finger's music on their instruments without having to do complex tunings.
The pieces have been mainly chosen for their technical compatibility with the concert guitar and that reveal its strengths particularly well. This relates mainly to those works that are impressionistic or use a more modern idiom. Two of his more popular pieces are on the album. They are organized by difficulty, and the degree of difficulty varies from fairly difficult to difficult. All pieces can be heard on the enclosed CD, recorded by Martin Hegel.
