To Be Two - Everything

Since 1996, Eddie Nünning has been collaborating with the Essen singer Christiane Weber in the duo "To Be Two". The two of them create a wonderful musical unity in which the orchestral playing style of the guitarist is given full credit. Christiane Weber’s crystal-clear voice hovers and dances over the chords and grooves of Nünning’s nylon-string guitar. For their CD “Everything”, the two musicians put together a repertoire of their favorite songs. The album reveals highly individual interpretations of jazz standards ("Lullaby Of Birdland"), Latin tunes ("Dindi"), blues songs ("Route 66") and ballads ("Everything"). There are other works, too, by Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Van Morrison. Seldom have two been heard, who can complement each other so well and can give voice to the idea of a duo in such a multifaceted and adaptable manner. The listeners will often rediscover songs they thought they already knew.
