Born in Montpellier, France, the guitarist and composer with the impressive name Solo Razafindrakoto - Solorazaf for short - has earned an outstanding reputation not only in his native Madagascar.

He accompanied the world star Miriam Makeba for 15 years and is well known to guitar fans as part of the quartet "World Of Guitar" with Fareed Haque, Romero Lubambo and Aquiles Baez. Solorazaf has been successfully touring the globe with his "Solo Guitar Performance" since 2001. Solorazaf plays an original, triangular guitar and has developed his own sound: a poly-rhythm in which bass and melodies develop a life of their own; at the same time, he drives the beat forward with both feet and mouth percussion elements.
