We have been through a long dry spell lies. It has been ages since we have been to concerts or workshops. Even some of our workshops in the Lutherhaus in Osnabrück as well as all planned concerts had to be cancelled. Since September, things have slowly started again. I have, myself, given a few concerts at home and abroad. I can’t help noticing
that something has changed. It‘s not only the number of concert-goers that has significantly declined. It’s also the contact with each other that has changed, not too much,
but noticeably. It feels unusual when someone greets you with a handshake, but this is rare. Embraces have become even rarer. If someone sneezes or coughs, you cringe.
It‘s not all negative. For myself, the peace and quiet was positive. I was able to devote more time to guitar building. There were enough orders, so overall I actually worked
more rather than less.
It remains to be seen how the situation will develop. It will definitely continue. Maybe differently, but not necessarily negatively. I‘m sure many of you have noticed
how important live events are and will find them an enrichment of life. Let us all look ahead with positive thoughts and get busy with the good things in life.
Maybe we will see each other at a concert? I would be delighted.
