The music of the European-South American trio “Terracota” mirrors a lively pictorial language that almost renders the sounds tangible and visual. Terracota‘s music is intense and sensual, intimate and atmospheric, sythesized influences between jazz and European tradtional music.
Terracota perfects their sound using two classical guitars plus persussion on their CD “Savia”. Didier Laloy on accordion is a featured guest. The interaction between the musicians is fine and sensitive. The listener finds himself an unexpected party to an intimate musical dialogue - a dialogue which is as pure and unaffected as it is playful. The musicians of Terracota have been able to overlay the rigourousness and intellectuality of European art-music with a primeval South American quality.
