Mozart Duo - A Tribute to Wolfgang Amadeus

The Mozart Duo consists of the two Hungarian classical guitarists Tibor Pétery (born 1974 in Budapest) and Csaba Szabó (born 1976 in Veszprëm). They met in 1996 and began working on their first Mozart transcriptions, a discipline they continue practicing intensely to this day. The core of the Mozart repertoire consists of four complete sonatas and two rondos, works that make severe demands on the technical and interpretation skills of the guitarists. Pétery and Szabó have continued training at master classes and won the first prize at the international guitar competition in Przemysl/Poland. Today their repertoire includes works of Mozart, Bach, Albeniz, Piazzolla and Bartok. Their CD “A Tribute to Wolfgang Amadeus” at Acoustic Music reveals them as an outstandingly harmonious duo that produces top-drawer music. This is beautiful classical music perfectly delivered by two guitars.
