Martin Hegel - Bach Solo

As winner of the first prize in the Bach International Competition, the music of Johann Sebastian Bach is particularly dear to his heart. Not only do his arrangements show impressive depth and attention to detail, it is above all his highly differentiated and charismatic mastery of his instrument which carries the ring of conviction.

Martin Hegel's original arrangements for guitar of some of Bach's best known works are framed by two of the great man's most beautiful compositions for lute and allow the listener to truly experience the timeless nature of his music when performed on the concert guitar.
