Guitar2Voice - From The Well

Guitar2Voice is composed of Melanie Bartsch and the guitarist Jens Filser. With their album “From the Well”, these two artists have released a duo album that's in acoustic mode.
On it, the two tap deeply into the wellspring of their musicality. As a duo ensemble, they tap into all their potential, from "funky fingerstyle" guitar arrangements, to great pop ballads.

Their imagination knows no bounds. The CD even includes a slew of their own compositions and a multi-track gospel choir arrangement. It guarantees high-value entertainment. And in spite the lighthearted feeling, Guitar2Voice always imbue their songs quite naturally with warmth and earthiness of the blues and jazz. This can be ascribed on the one hand to the balmy, colorful alto of Melanie Bartsch, and, on the other hand, to the musical style of the guitarist. For decades, now, Jens Filser has been a big name in the blues and live-music scene.
 
Given this background, it seemed to be only logical that the twelve hand-picked songs on the CD were recorded and mixed in his own studio. The outcome is authentic, exciting, virtuosic and deeply human.
