Andreas Heuser - Continuum

Jazz, classic, minimal, Oriental and Latin American music served Andreas Heuser as the source of inspiration for 10 succinct compositions of his own in which he has succeeded in merging these elements into a highly independent, exciting and varied mixture. The greater portion of these pieces has been played on a 10-string concert guitar, whereby the expanded tonal range in the bass area opens up unusual possibilities in terms of tone and instrumental technique, which Andreas Heuser knows how to use with great skill. The tonal colors of the steel-string acoustic guitar and the requinto (tuned a fifth higher than a concert guitar) are a fascinating contrast and round off the musical images.
