Dean Magraw is the "Kitchen Man" - and what a kitchen man!
There are probably few guitarists who can treat the spice menagerie of a richly equipped "cuisine musical" with such virtuosity as Magraw. On his most recent production, the American once again fascinates the listeners with a fiery recipe, the basic components of which clearly offer a taste of folk, rock, jazz, and jazz once again. These are joined by instrumented arrangements that are as diverse as they are exciting - a fantastic example is the duo with Jim Anton playing fretless bass on the opener "PCIL" or the racy and rhythmic tour de force in "Circuits" - and, not to be forgotten is Magraw's outstanding technical perfection, thanks to which he still can elicit "unheard-of" things from the guitar in 1997.
