Peter Autschbach feat. Barbara Dennerlein - Feelin' Dunk

During the summer of 2001 the two got together to jam – and one year later their joint album has been released. Peter Autschbach’s idea to lure the leading light of the Hammond organ, Barbara Dennerlein, into the studio for his CD “Feelin’ Dunk“ has proven itself to be the perfect forum for a genuine jazz summit. When Dennerlein met up with the guitar icon sparks flew. The meeting turned into an extremely harmonic ensemble of two equal partners, complemented by an equally fine rhythm grouping. “Smart arrangements” (“Der Spiegel”) that we have already come to know from Autschbach’s previous productions, build the framework of this studio live session with its unbelievably light and pleasurable music. The compositions, deliberately uncluttered and clearly shaped, are the perfect playground for jazz improvisations with the occasional excursion into funk, Latin and blues.
