In January 1993, the avantgarde artist and guitarist Hans Reffert and the multi-string picker Adax Dörsam founded the duo “Schrammel & Slide” at the suggestion of producer Hartmut Höfele. They have produced seven albums with extraordinary instrumental music in the meantime.
Hans Reffert was born on July 19, 1946 and died, far too early, on February 21, 2016.
He made music with Catherina Valente, Siegfried Schwab, Mani Neumeier, Barbara Lahr,
Guru Guru, and many more.
Adax Dörsam, born on August 7, 1955, is a lively performer, who has played for Xavier Naidoo, Rolf Zuckowski, Claus Boesser-Ferrari, De-Phazz, Tony Marshall, Pe Werner, JOANA, Lydie Auvray, Ken Hensley, and Mike Batt.
Hans Reffert and Adax Dörsam slip between voodoo and klezmer, and they slide between Mannheim and New York. They collate things that don't belong together: this is world music in the best sense of the word. They play with humor and cool heads, with improvisatory gusto, and an earthy feeling. The humorous guitar orchestra “Schrammel & Slide” fires off an entire arsenal of guitars, and that is something to hear.
Incomparable film score for one’s own images...!
