Eric Clapton, George Benson, The Four Tops and even Michael Jackson are just some of the names from a long list of top-drawer musical collaborations in the career of this great vocalist from Philadelphia. This trained singer, who has a surefooted style with lots of nuance and character, has found her own expression by drawing on influences from the blues and jazz, gospel and soul. She has the support of blues guitarist Gregor Hilden, who has produced numerous albums demonstrating an elegant performing style, delicately hued solos and a mature tone with which he has combined influences from Peter Green to Larry Carlton into a tasteful concentrate. Together, they invite listeners to a musical feast, doing Aretha Franklin's classic ”Dr. Feelgood”, or the traditional American “Amazing Grace", which reveals Lewis’s deeply felt musicality. Two extraordinary musical personalities complement each other with fabulous musical understanding and a great deal of joy at playing, and in the end they create the 70-minute-long "Soulful Stew".
