Axel Zinowsky Quartett - Mindwalk

“Mindwalk” - that is the title of the first CD by Axel Zinowsky, who is considered as one of Germany’s best jazz guitarists. The album contains ten compositions by Axel Zinowsky, showing individual style and inviting to a musical journey through the jazz scene of the nineties. From lyrical, atmospheric pieces, strongly influenced by the sound of the acoustic guitar, it comes across Latin grooves, blues and funk orientated compositions to rough, energetic uptempo swing pieces. Modern cross-over jazz on the highest level is presented here. Inspired arrangements create sound patterns of great intensity and rich contrasts. And what is more, with Axel Zinowsky and saxophonist Volker Winck two outstanding soloists are to be experienced.
