When Manuel Delgado from Spain and Ralf Siedhoff from Germany meet musically, two different worlds come together: Mercurial flamenco guitarist meets world music and contemporary European jazz by guitarist Ralf Siedhoff.
When Manuel Delgado from Spain and Ralf Siedhoff from Germany meet musically, two people enthused by other musical cultures link up. This led to their getting together in Tunis in August 1997, where they worked alongside musicians from seven other countries in a concert held in an amphitheater in Carthage.
When Manuel Delgado from Spain and Ralf Siedhoff from Germany meet musically, the German does not play flamencos and the Spaniard does not play jazz, and neither plays both, but rather they let themselves flow into each other. One follows the other without locking himself into narrow boundaries, new musical spaces open up for unexpected rhythms and scales.
They converge their diverse musical pasts and their experiences with Indian and Oriental classical music, contemporary European jazz and flamenco. For the listener, it's an exciting acoustical experience.
